    This is my to-go restaurant for amazing authentic Puerto Rican food when I visit my hometown of Lorain, Ohio. You enter and are greeted by a buffet of food to select. I get the rice and beans with potatoes, pork and potato meat ball. They give you so much food and for an amazing price.  I can never eat it in one sitting. The next day leftovers are the best!  I opt for carryout, but they have seating as well. Staff is always friendly and hooks you up with hearty/generous portions. Free parking is available on the street or the parking garage located around the corner and shared with Family Dollar. I always worry that TSA will try to take my leftovers when I go through security, but my leftovers always clear....lol. Writing this review has me craving for this meal.

    I love their food.  The bacalau is fantastic.  I bring home a doggy bag of it and add lots of olive oil: delicious!  The pastelillos are wonderful and their plantanos with rice and beans absolutely a must.  Very simple place, with wonderful food--and plenty of it.

    I go to El Kefon any time I'm home in Lorain. The rice and beans are worth driving four hours for! Everyone is always really friendly, the portions for the price is amazing! Love it.

    Great Puerto Rican food.  We order their large foil pans of rice for our family get togethers.  The rice is always very flavorful and you can order the beans to go over the rice to add even more deliciousness. Very large portions.  I didn't care for the pastelillos, not enough meat and they were a little too greasy for me, but everything else has been great.  Staff is always friendly.

    The food tastes amazing! They give such a large amount, for a low price. I enjoy coming here every chance I get.
